Rhizomes creeping. stems 30~60cm tall, base divided many times look tufted, dark green, unbranching, 14~50 ridges. Ridges surface arranged tiny protuberances make 2 lines, leaf sheaths with sheath teeth 8~15mm length. Sheath teeth triangular and membranous, drop early.
