What is the Korean Plant Names Index?
- Definition of the Korean Plant Names Index (KPNI)
- The Korean Plant Names Index (KPNI) is a database of the names and associated basic
- bibliographical details of all Korean vascular plants. Its goal is to eliminate the need for repeated
- reference to primary sources for basic bibliographic information about plant names.
- The data are freely available and are gradually being standardized and checked. KPNI will be a
- dynamic resource, depending on direct contributions by all members of the botanical
- community.
- It is always arranging new plant names with process of the careful discussion, and confirmation
- by committee. This is the result of a collaboration with Korea National Arboretum, Plant
- Taxonomic Society of Korea, National Plant List Committee and Cultivated Plant List Committee.
